Alannah A1 Rogers

My Softball Recruiting Page

Class of 2022 | Club Ball Team AZ Hotshots 18u Gold Georges | Varsity Softball Willow Canyon H.S. | Bat/Throw LEFT | 2nd Base, Pitch, Outfield

I selected Alannah as an undersized 13 year old, to my 18U Gold team. She has consistently been in the top 3 in hitting, since moving up to 18U Gold and competing against the top teams and Junior Colleges in the country. She has 86 hits in 231AB’s over the course of 105 Games played. Over the span of her 105 games at the 18U Gold level, Alannah has slashed .372/.449/.903. Always a good hitter, I chose Alannah for her tenacity on Defense, her grit, and superior softball IQ. That and she is a phenomenal human being from a phenomenal family. Alannah now hits close to .450, fields at a .950 clip and leads our team with 10 Wins this summer in the circle. Her changeup, drop curve, and off speed drop combination are very deceptive. Small in stature, Alannah is all muscle and all heart.

Brian Georges - Head Coach Arizona Hotshots 18u Gold Team (July 2019)

My name is Donnie Tizzano and I am the Head Softball Coach at Willow Canyon high school in Surprise, Arizona. I am reaching out to you today on behalf of one of my players, Alannah Rogers. Alannah is very interested in participating in the International Summer Games. I believe she will be a great addition to the roster.I have had the privilege of knowing Alannah for 8 years. I coached her older sister Alexis when Alexis attended Willow Canyon. From early on, you can see Alannah was a different type of player. She couldn’t get enough of softball. She wanted to learn as much as she could. Alannah has so much fun playing the game and that was evident from an early age. Currently Alannah is entering her sophomore season and she is already one of the greatest players we have had at Willow Canyon. She has all the tools to play at the highest levels of the game. Alannah has set a number of single season records as a freshman and she’ll continue to break records as she progresses through high school. She is the best position player we have regardless of the position we play her. She is also our best pitcher and usually throws all of big games. Nothing seems to rattle Alannah and she is always up for a challenge. Alannah has a number of big division 1 schools (including Stanford) interested in her, which speaks to her talent on the field. What sets Alannah apart in my opinion is not only her work effect, but the type of person she is. Alannah has a motor that does not stop. Every day and that is not an exaggeration, Alannah will reach out to me for extra repetitions. Whether it is for hitting or fielding, she is always trying to improve and she never satisfied with what she has accomplished in the past. This year Alannah signed up for a new challenge, she is a member of the wrestling team at Willow Canyon. Alannah saw how the wrestling team condition and decided she would benefit from that sort of a workout. In a few short weeks, with no experience in wrestling, Alannah has become one of the better female wrestlers on the team, finishing 3rd in her first invitational meet. Alannah plays club softball for Hotshots Georges which is one of the best club teams in Arizona. Although she is extremely active, these activities have not hindered Alannah in the classroom. She takes all honors at Willow Canyon and maintains a GPA over 4.5. At the time of this email, Alannah is ranked 28th in her class of 472 students. We are fortunate at Willow Canyon to have a number of high character players on our roster and Alannah sets the tone for this group. She comes to everything we do with a smile on her face, she greets every player as if they have been friends for years, and she is the most respectful player to coaches, umpires, and opponents that I have ever seen. In short, she is exactly what every coach would want from a player. I want to thank you for taking the time to read this email. Alannah Rogers is a once in a lifetime player and I highly recommend her for a roster spot. If you have any questions or need any further information, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.
